It seems like we had a mellow summer. Not that fall is here, let's get our butts in the seats and go for a ride.This will be the same ride as last year however the name has changed. Thanks to Freddy, it's now called the Jersey Rocker rally. We will start with breakfast at MINI of Monmouth. Then we head out through Monmouth county passing some famous rocker's homes along the way. We will end up in Ocean Grove to check out the Brits on the Beach car show. This is put on by Positive Earth Drivers Club. We can eat there or stroll into Asbury Park for a nice (not expensive) lunch.

We'll meet at MINI of Monmouth on Hwy 35 in Oakhurst at 9:30
We will head out at 10:00
We should be in Ocean Grove around noon, look at some great cars and head over the small walking bridge to Asbury for lunch (restaurant to be determined on the fly)

PLEASE let me know if you plan to come with us. I NEED a head count for breakfast. Sorry , I forgot - I NEED to know how many people will be coming. Or another way to put it would be how many mouths are we feeding. hehe

I wish, but ill be in asbury earlier that day doing a charity bike ride.

Please be cautious. There will be a few hundred cyclists in the area of asbury and north of there.

 

Thanks for the heads up. I tried to see the routes but they are not posted. MINI's and bikes can easily share the roads.

I'm glad everyone had fun. A few of us even had a great "after rally" back to MINI of Monmouth to do some shopping. Unfortunately I don't know what happened to poker salsa and cozyp828. I kept looking for you on Main Ave. but no luck.
After some nice twists during the after rally, I decided that they HAVE to be added next year.
And a big THANK YOU to MINI of Monmouth for a wonderful breakfast to start our day off right.

How got new bikes? We didn't. haha Have to sell off my collection first. Road bike,track bike and mountain bike all for sale in order to buy, as Roberta calls them "retirement bikes".
