Hawks Nest Run ??? September Something?

so I'll check back later!
I get partly cloudy in the mid 60's also...
But I do think the roads might be a tad wet in the morning around PA from showers the night before so you might want to put the rain slicks on!

But yes, you're right, they are talking about rain/showers late Friday night and cloudy early Saturday morning. Like Jim sez...if it rains we just take the twisties a little slower. Dorothy said to remind you to bring your binoculars!
Ah yes my binoculars to search for the Eagles at the Hawks Nest.

The Showers are scheduled for the early morning, we wont start the run till around 10 so by then hopefully they will have passed.
I also would like to see some hawks, going to bring the long lens and hopefully my Co Pilot can grab a shot or 2

JIM: The reports for the central New Jersey inland areas doesn't mention anything about showers for Saturday morning, although they do mention some showers for late Friday evening. I guess it all depends upon what is considered to be late Friday or early Saturday with the weather forcasters...and I suppose there could be a slight difference between our NJ weather Vs. PA. I plan on enjoying the day regardless and hope we are treated to a few "Raptors"!
Here is the latest report for the area were we will start the run in
Saturday
Oct 10
Mostly Cloudy Hi: 60° Lo: 39°
Mostly Cloudy. High 60F and low 39F. Winds W at 14 mph. Air Quality: NA, UV Index: NA

Just out of curiosity...does anyone have an ideal of what roads we will be traveling on for this run. I know where we are going to start and I know that we end up traveling on NY#97 and will apparently terminate at Port Jervis. It's the part between Scotrun diner and Rt#97 that I'm interested in.

Robyn's changing up the route this year to add a few more twisties. Others on Facebook have asked for the route to meet the group along the way and she was going to send it to them.
Last year it was a great mix of state and local roads heading northeast from Scotrun, over the hills, thru the forests, along the lakes, streams and rivers!
Here's a few pics from last year.

Peggy - We were up in northeast PA last weekend and saw lot's of hawks, turkey vultures and other birds of prey. We hiked to the top of Hawk mountain and were at eye level and above as they were soaring by. Joyce's camera battery died so no pics.
Hoping to stop down by the river after the run to see if our friend(s) are still there!
