A MINI MEET on Sunday, July 27, 2008 - Saxe Middle School, New Canaan, CT
Everyone had so much fun at our Summer Splash MINI MEET last year, we're doing it again.This time we'll be at Saxe Middle School in New Canaan, just off the Merritt Parkway Exit 37.
There will be a MINI car show, cookout, socializing, Radio Controlled car races, a Lawnkhana (obstacle course run individually on a lawn), and a scavenger hunt. Dash plaques and goodie bags for all, and door prizes also!
Bratwurst, soda and all the fixins provided. Trophies for all events!

You can register at the door. Come out and have a good time with your MINI and fellow owners.

Congrats on your new MINI. Im new to NJ also, so i feel your pain! 
Some of you never heard of the Summer Splash event? More info is on NeMini.org . I didnt get to go last year, but i heard it was a good time.
Im pretty sure i'll make it this year, unless its a nasty rainy day

I love my MINI for three reasons:
1. I love to drive.
I don't care where the event is as long as it is fun. I went to Mini Takes The States 08 one weekend in Boston and then to Minis On Top 08 in Gorham NH and then a parade to help another MINI owner. That was fun!
2. If I was worried about the gas prices...why would I buy a MINI?
People are now aware how economical the MINI is vice the performance it has. Why do you think that it's getting harder to buy brand new MINI now?
3. I love meeting great friends.
You meet the best friends' at MINI Events. Before I bought my MINI, I would rarely go anywhere. I come from a Military background that limit his social friends to only military people around him. Wow! You not only meet people that love their MINIs, they also love people and care.

We are trying to decide to p/u the Clubman in Boston on Saturday, 26 Jul 0i8 and drive from Boston to Summer Splash on 27 Jul 08.
or
P/u the Clubman in Boston on Thursday night on 24 Jul 08 and drive back on Friday morning on 25 Jul 08...still make it for Surf Taco.

I'm going to summer splash, and it would be cool to go up together. I'm taking Parkway North to I-287 across the Tappen Zee to exit 9 for Merritt Parkway.
We could meet on Route 3 West somewhere and then hit the Parkway, or we could meet at the Parkway's rest stop in Bergen County.
However you'd like to play it is cool with me. Summer Splash is about 1-1/4 hours away from Bloomfield, according to Google map.
