MOALA Invites you! 2nd Annual Charity Night Poker Rally Sat July 28, 7:30PM
Meeting Location: Queen Mary Main parking lot, Long Beach
Meeting Time: 7:30p
Run Begins: 8pm
Run ends: The Shorehouse Cafe in Seal Beach at appx 11p
Cost: $25
This rally is a 'Charity Poker Rally'. We will be raising money for the Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center. They are a not-for-profit entity in Huntington Beach that cares for sick and injured wildlife. And they exist solely on donated funds.
Here is how it will work.
The Poker Rally will traverse up and down the coast between Long Beach and Laguna Beach. During the trip there will be a bunch of stops at scenic or business locations. While stopped, the drivers will go to a designated area and draw a playing card from a pile of cards. The card chosen will be recorded on a worksheet. Drivers then jump back into their Mini's and continue to the next location. This continues until everyone has drawn a complete poker hand. At the end of the rally, we will stop at a local restaurant for refreshments, snacks, and raffle prize give aways, and the person with the best poker hand will be revealed! That individual will be awarded a percentage of the registration and raffle ticket money. It was couple of hundred dollars last year!
We had a bunch of folks from NAM, SCMM, and MOALA in attendance last year and everyone seemed to have a blast! Hope to see you all again next Saturday!

Hi everyone! I have the finalized details for this event!
We will be meeting at the Queen Mary main parking lot in Long Beach. The folks at the Queen Mary have been nice enough to waive the parking fees for us....so don't worry about paying for parking.
Arrive at 7:30. But don't arrive at the last second, you need to leave enough time to sign in and sign your life away on some forms before we announce the rules for the rally. The run will begin at 8.
The event will end between 11:30 and midnight (if you stay for a snack and prizes).
The fee will be $25 with proceeds being split between the winner, the charity, and a few dollars to cover event costs.
