December Meet and Eat on 12/19

A road trip to Christmas Town!
Let's meet at 6:30 at the Dairy Queen in Belmont on 74 where it becomes Franklin Blvd. We can get an old timey hamburger meal and cruise on up to McAdenville and look at all the purdy lights. From the DQ it's a short drive to McAdenville and it's the route city officials want folks to use coming Charlotte. As we pass through town we'll be right on course to get onto I-85 and head back to town.
Below is a map to the DQ in Belmont. It's #1 on the map. From I-85 take Exit 26 south to Wilkinson then turn right. The DQ will be on the right.

Whoohoo! Our other commitment fell through so we (or at least I ;-) ) can make it!

I'll just pick up some more stuffed animals for the T4T drive, it's such a good cause.

P.S. Had an issue yesterday meeting someobody with vague directions, mapquest put me on a street that was permanently closed, and the guy didn't have his cell phone on, so I'm not taking any chances this time! ;-)

If this is the DQ I'm thinking about, the address is 7015 East Wilkinson Blvd, Belmont, NC.

 

The DQ on Franklin in Belmont is the one! Radios are just fine. Ours only has single channels with no subs.

I have to agree with Dave, glad to have met everyone that was there. It really looked good to have a nice looking group of MINIs sitting proper in a row. It was great to be able to match people up with their NAM names and it's always good to make new friends!

The Meet N Eat was great, we had 14 Minis and 23 people show up and the trip too see the Christmas lights was great no real big crowd and we got thru in 15 minutes. Glad to meet all the new people and actually meet someone who has a garage across the street and had just bought a Mini and He and his wife came over a talked to us. Great burgers and shakes and we missed some old folks but glad to have some new ones on board. Luke, President Mini Motoring Club of Carolinas.

I'm sorry I missed everyone. I was hoping to make it despite being on call. Unfortunately, several babies decided that they needed to misbehave. Thankfully they are all doing better. I'm glad you had a great time. Anyone take pictures??? Anyhow, I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas/Hanukkah and a Great New Year!!!!! Is anyone going to Hang at Hendrick this weekend???
