Saturday July 1 would like to see all our charlotte members drop by Hendrick to say hello and buy some raffle tickets for the RC MINI we are giving away. For all you members who know Dan Passe, just wanted to let you know he is back in a MINI and looking forward to seeing us at club functions. I hope a lot of you Charlotte folks will turn out on July 1. But I want to stress that we are asking that each member try to SELL/BUY at least 10 tickets ($15 worth). This is not a lot to ask and it is for 2 good causes, The Speedway Children's Charities and our club!!!

Thanks for everyone who came out to Hendricks. Kicksnake glad to finally see you guys after a long absense. We managed to sell a few tickets and also sign up a new (HONORARY) member from Key West Florida. I went and picked her up and guided her back to Hendrick where she met all the staff and members of the club. Micki has a real cool purple haze with red top and mirrors and painted checkmate design. It was all bugged up so we sent it for a bath to get the guts of the front. We all went out for a sandwich and then put her back on the road to Elon NC. Really nice Mini Motorhead and was a pleasure to meet her. Luke President Mini Motoring Club of Carolinas.

 

We managed to sell 62 tickets on Saturday. Not too shabby! I don't know if Ed at Hendrick has sold any, but allowing us to use the showroom was cool. Thanks Ed.

Hi! Made it back to the Keys and had to scrape the bug boogers off Ducky the next morning...between here and there are some derned huge critters... I was picking "drum sticks" out of the arms of the wipers for two days!...I have said this before and will repeat myself for two reasons, A) It is my Divine right as a female to talk, and B) There may be someone who missed it the other times: I have a guest room that I should have back on line the end of August. So, if anyone enjoys saltwater fishing, scuba, or snorkle, it will be available. Keep in mind that we are now in hurricane season, and need to check the weather before coming down. (My brother's wife is a hurricane magnet and I have asked him not to bring her anymore. I know that sounds terribly anti-social, but whenever he brings her, they have to evacuate because of the storm...) Thanks again for the hospitality...Mick/Blue
