Glory be and hallelujah!!! As of 2:33pm, Aug 8th, 2005, the MINI motoring Club of the Carolinas is an officially recognized corporation in the state of North Carolina!
I just picked up the paperwork from the lawyer's this afternoon.
Congratulations to all and thanks to everyone who have worked towards making this goal a reality!!!

The final step, the non-profit status paperwork, should be filed later this week. I had to wait to get the incorporation documents back before I could proceed with this filing.

On a sidenote, does anyone else think it a strange coincidence that the papers went through on George's birthday? I think it's a pretty fitting tribute to the man who's done more to get this club where it is today than anyone else I know!!

Could someone explain to me what this actual means? Or, and not intentionally trying to sound rude, why we are doing it? Most of this was underway when I became a member, so I missed all the reasoning behind it.
