Ok Folks, let see if we can make this work!

For our July monthly dinner event we will be getting together with some of our Southern brethren down in Spartanburg. We will be meeting at our Prez’s corporate living quarters (can’t call it a bachelor’s pad) around 5:00 pm and be heading over towards the restaurant around 6:30 pm.

Date: Wednesday July 14th

Meet-up Location (Mininc’s pad):
105 Elford Terrace
Spartanburg, SC

Time: 5:00 until we leave for dinner

Dinner:
Renato Italian Ristoante
221 E Kennedy St
Spartanburg, SC

Time: 6:30 pm until ???

The owner of the Restaurant is quite the car lover and specifically Mini Coopers. During our scouting mission as we pulled into a parking lot across the street, the owner and chef came running out and started clearing the area in front and waved us over so that we could park the 4 minis for all to see. Come to find out he loved to race his classics back in Italy and promises to be an excellent host for us. He will be putting us in a separate area of the restaurant and our cars in separate/private parking!

The owner, Renato, is way cool and the food is EXCELLENT!!!! Sierra and I will definately be attending! Looking forward to meeting more of the Charlotte and Greenville members.

Hmmm. I don't get off work until 5:30.. I'll check with Trainmama, and maybe we can catch y'all at the restaurant..

 

i'll try my best. i'll be in the area for my brothers performance delivery of his new bimmer. we're supposed to eat at the hotel for a "special meal". i don't like the idea of a special hotel dinner. i'll see if i can convince him to blow it off and have some real fun.

This would be a much more special meal than something in the hotel restaurant. Renato is cool, the restaurant is neat, the food is great: The red snapper melted in our mouths.

And George's crib is pretty nifty, too. I'll be there.

We're gonna be there! The maps say that MiniNC's place is 2 blocks from the restaurant, so if we get into S'burg soon enough, we'll swing by there first.. :smile: Hopefully we won't get lost!!

Thanks to all those who helped pull this together. Sierra and I had a great time last evening! We enjoyed meeting new friends and getting to know old (as in existing, not necessarily age) friends better. George, thanks for hosting the greet at your place and providing some refreshments - it was a perfect place to meet up before dinner!
