Sorry we'll miss it. We're off to Ft Knox that weekend to see our son's best friend off to his Korea deployment.

Maybe we can figure out how to get our lights on another time. Was really looking forward to a good time. Such is life....and weather....

Hi everyone,
Sorry we haven't been around to post, I had a death in my family and needed to go to Delaware. So, luckily Bruce called me this morning as we were on our way to Charlotte lol. If next weekend isn't a good one.. ( I'm looking for ideas here.) We could move it to Feb.. 16th? The second is the deep fried twisties, and then the 9th is the Charity run. The 22nd is the Mini love fest.. Any ideas out there? We are good for next weekend, or any weekend really.

 

Lets just go with this weekend. Changing too many times just keeps people confussed and with this bunch you don't need any more confussion! Some people may not be able to make this one but we will have other mod days! Luke

phew. yes... the last bracket came today!!! all four lights... and my black out tint for the back lights..
woohooo and although they wont be ready to put on, i got..
a wing for the back.. and a lip for the front..
and finally got my hands on a jcw strut tower bar

 

Weather is going to be a little chilly, but should be nice day. Turkey is being thawed out as i type. Got 2 turkey breast 5 1/2 and 7 1/2lbs each should be enough, I hope.

 

Mod day went off without a hitch! We had Lights on Lilruffcat, Racing stripes on John's Mini. Sue got strut braces and Shortbus got his antenna fixed and it didn't cost 600 as he was qouted. As for food if you went away hungry well it wasn't our fault. We had deep fried turkey breasts, chicken legs and thighs, bacon rapped japaneo peppers, bacon wrappped chicken, all kinds of dips, slaw and alot more I can't remember, oh yes, hot dogs. Also had some dessert. Alot of different kinds of chips and I am stuffed. Everyone seemed to have a good time and thanks to all who came out. A very special thanks to Bruce & Cathy for inviting us and opening up their garage for us to work in. Hope to see you all at the next one. Pictures at 11 or when Lilruffcat gets home and post them. I completely enjoyed yesterday. We rode all the way back to Columbia with the new lights on. No one flashed us, so they must not have been to bright. Funny thing happened though, When we got off 77 going to post, as we entered our gate, our neighbor pulled up along side us. He had been on 77 and saw us, wondering who the hell had such bright lights . When he saw us entering the gate and the driving lights off, he knew it was us. He said they looked awesome. As David handed our id's to the guard.. the guards statement was "Got enough lights" David replied lmmfao not yet!

Bruce, Cathy:
Thank you cannot really convey how I feel about yesterday. You both are awesome. We had such a great time. As I said yesterday it is fun to motor, but it was nice to just sit and talk and have some great laughs. I think Bruce should actually market those glasses of his!!!! They are a fashion statement to the extreme. I still chuckle, as people asked Bruce do you have this, do you have that.. and time and time again he did!!!

It was fun to see people pull their cars in, and mod something.. and enjoy doing it!
I for one am looking forward to another mod day this spring. and yes Ill be late!! But Ill be there!!
