Tent/Camper Hook up?

Ok, I called Fontana Village Yesterday to book a Camper/Tent site at everything has been booked!!!

I know that MOTD 2007 was popular but it looks as though MOTD 2008 is going to be off the hook!!!

I booked 2 campsites for this years Dragon and had an awesome time with friends and I even dragged my neighbours down and they had a blast, even though it rained most of the weekend.

Has M2C2 made a block booking? If so are there any spots available. I need space for 3 tents! I am pretty handy with a Martini shaker if that helps any...?

All kidding aside, I was really surprised that things have gotten booked up this early. My only guess is that the various Mini Clubs have made block bookings.

Let me know.

Joe I think we can squeeze you in.. and I think other then any other m2c2 members that want to get in on this, we are full up after I add you. I am working on doing breakfasts in the morning.. with the communal all day coffee pot .. so as it gets closer and I actually get ahold of the people who are putting the motd together, information will either be on the motd thread.. or back on the m2c2 forum.. so ill count you in.. I won't know price until I actually sit down and see how many we have on our sites.. look forward to meeting you there..

If I can get my camper there, it does sleep 8...however the 8 must be VERY close friends. Has a potty a tiny shower and a kitchen as well.

Hi RuffCat,
I am just now reading this. We have a 5th wheel that we would love to bring. I know a couple of people are coming here from AZ and we would like info on where we can park it etc. This is my first time doing the Dragon and I cant wait. Any info would be really appreciated. Trace

Trace,
I called and booked reservations a few weeks ago on the campsites at the Dragon. Will you be at the Christmas party? I can give you information then if you would like.. I heard the tent sites and camper sites are booked, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything, I would definitely give them a call-- 800.849.2258 I have three camper sites.. my camper is a small tear drop.. so I am sure we can almost fit in between.. M2C2 has a block of tent sites, that I am sure we can fit in a few more tents.. it's going to be tight.. I can let you know more.. Also what we are planning, is doing morning breakfasts at the campsite, for anyone who wants to come to the M2C2 sites, and join us.. coffee.. camp breakfast stuff.. I'll have more info as the time comes closer.. there really arent many options as far as casual dining, so we thought we would do casual breakfasts... it outta be fun..
Also, my husband and I are doing a day drive.. and will have info out on that as well! Hope to meet you soon.. and Im the innocent one of this bunch!

If I can get my camper there, there should be plenty of room.

I'm hiking Clingman's dome on the Appalachian Trail with a buddy and his Scout troop this spring. B/C I'm a gear guy, I'll likely by all the lightweight camping stuff, and if I do, I might camp on the disc golf course or something.

;-)

Of course, so far, all I have are boots...

It wasnt a choice. I got in a fight with my roommate that could have played big time college football, and lost, so I slept in the MINI. Being 6'3" 300lbs it wasnt to great but moving to the passenger seat made it better, the worst part was it was Feb. and one of the coldest nights that winter. I could walk the the next day, but I had a little scare of the personal nature some guys might know about, since I couldnt spread out to much.

Lilruffcat, are you keeping up with the sites and how many we have left? Doc do you need someone to pull your camper? I will already be there but maybe someone like John who likes the Mini thing could do it. Ruffcat did you save a space for Trace or get her to call and book another one? Keep me posted on what is going on since I will be up there Sunday thru Sunday. This is going to be fun.

Luke,
If Trace wants to, we can squeeze in on one site together, as long as I can plug in, Im happy.. i need ac at night.... so I think we are good there...
We have filled the three tent sites, and the 3 RV sites.. I will call tomorrow, double check what we have, but this is what I think we have lol.. so we are set there.. We are completely full no matter what we have.. with room for HAWG to squeeze in too..
We will be able to know the cost.. once I see how many are actually on the sites and so forth.. I don't want to charge all of these to my credit card.. so we will square this all away the night of the first campfire!
Luke, you are planning on motoring down to us in the morning for breakfast yes? This will be a blast to see m2c2 out in force having a good time, doing what we do best.. that is eating and motoring in no particular order! Ill talk to you about it more when we go to BBQ in two weeks!
