Yep I still am trying to figure out exactly how I'm going to get both the camper [and F250] and the MINI up there the same time?? Still may board with you the beginning of the week if that would still be OK and I can get it off. Also, if it is just me in my camper and anyone needs to crash, the camper sleeps at least 4 people comfortably. Also it has air, heat, a microwave, a potty and a tiny shower [but my fat _ss fits in it]....

Uh.. I have an idear.. drive the f250, put the mini in the bed of the truck and haul the camper...

I don't know if I'm going or not, or when or how long, or staying where--I'm just like that. It's like meetings at work, I'm always double and triple booked on weekends.

Doing Habitat for Humanity, and they really look for me on framing days, (I can drive nails like I run my mouth, so you can imagine ;-0 ), the wifey only gets one weekend a month off these days and whenever that lands, (they set the schedule each month), I'm on a very short leash, and I'm going to hike the AT up Clingman's Dome sometime in Feb and again in May...

So, don't count on me, and don't be surprised if you hear the Invidia roaring in some time, either. If I show up, I'll bring provisions of some sort. ;-)

I bet between me, Terri and you we can find a way to get your camper, the F650 ( or whatever) and Casper to this event. Let's chat about it sometime soon.

Stayed at te Campgrounds last year, was a good time, but thought I should warn you all, There is only 1 shower stall, not the prettiest. You might want to think about packing a camp shower, or try to find the closest truck stop!

 

 

I have two camp showers and tents for them.. so if anyone else has any others... we will definitely bring it, and we have a sun awning..! We also have a tent if anyone needs it..

count me in folks. but, I will probably grab a room at the lodge as I will not be able to make it the whole time. I plan to drive up friday sometime in the afternoon if I can get off work and stay through saturday's events.

 

I think fontana is now on a wait list.. so if your going to try to get a room up there, you may well call them and get on that.. if not we have room at the campsite for one more!

 

My sister is getting married near Asheville on the weekend of MOTD 08. I am new to this and wondered if there is there a location that has the schedule for this event (I looked on the NAM MOTD 08 forum as well)? I will try to come over for some part of it but need to figure out when the best time to come over is.

Yes we had one person cancel, so we have room for one more.. so your in if you need it

by the way, when you say there is one space left, do you mean space for one person or for one tent? I can bring a tent if we need one......or I will happily just bring my sleeping gear (and a cooler)

do I need to bring a tent for the dragon run? I have a couple of friends who are threatening to tag along if there is room for more than just me (so, if there is room for just me and my sleeping bag, cool, but if there is room for a tent on friday, then, I may bring an entourage). would that work?

 

There should be room for a tent.. We will know how much you owe, when everyone is there, and we can divide the cost of the campsite.. so we will figure it out then. If you have an outdoor shower,( one of the black bags we can fill with water to shower with) that is an added bonus!
