So I had a plan which started a year and a half ago.
I wanted the shortest AWD car possible and more specifically it needed to look cool.
I wanted something to drive to the mountain in snowy conditions but also something small for ease of finding parking spots in the city.
So my year and a half long search for a Mini Paceman commenced.
These things are tough to find on a budget.
It needed to be an automatic with a sunroof and the infotainment console.
My plan from the beginning was to install a lift with bigger meaty tires.
I installed a Journeys 2' kit with custom spacers to stretch a bit more to 2.5".
I got a sick deal on some stock 17" stock rims and wrapped them with Toyo Open Country AT III tires in a 215/65/R17 (28” tall) for an additional 1” ground clearance.
Now I just need some help on eliminating the delay from when I hit the gas to when the engine actually accelerates. Haha but no not funny. I really cant stand the throttle lag in this thing.
The lift itself didn't change the handling much with the stock 18" wheels and stock size tires but once I put the 17" wheels on with the larger tires there was a noticeable difference which I expected.

Hi there! Nice car. We have a 2013 Paceman and I recently purchased the Journeys lift as well. Would you like to share anything you learned during the installation? I haven’t yet decided if this should be a DIY job.. thanks!
Mentioned this before but the lift did not change much for handling with the stock 18" rims and tires.
The 17" rims with the all terrain tires definitely effect the handling.
I can explain it as what you would expect from higher profile tires with all terrain tread and a lower speed rating.

The back was super easy. I didn't even need to take the wheels off.
The front on the other hand was very difficult and there was a point where I wanted to give up.
You will need spring compressors to get the struts back in but the tough part is that there is not much space up in the top part where it bolts in.
If you hate money then just find a local shop to do it.
Or maybe install the rear spacers then pay someone to install the front to cut the cost down.
