Thunder Grey F56 S from Montreal

F56 Cooper S - Build in Thunder Grey

Hi,

So it is my second F56 S. Had a 2016 in British Racing Green before with H&R springs, Spacers, blacklines and JCW pro exhaust + tune (and JB+ over it). I really liked it. Built it when I worked at MINI and then found it 2 years later on the market haha.. purchased it again!

I changed it for a more practical car since it is mostly my second car (slammed Audi Allroad). I drive a 718 Boxster as well as an all seasons daily. Kept it three months and then found this one on the market not as nice as the BRG one IMO but i’ll get another one next time (probably a real JCW then).

Its a 2017 Cooper S with JCW pack and a little bit less option then the other one. It had the basic stuff I wanted, JCW, directional LEDs and HK. Also it came with the Borla s-type muffler.

So here’s the actual setup. I painted the headlights and taillights trim in black while waiting for my stuff. Im currently running DINAN ELITE which is so much better then my old setup, much smoother and powerfull. Im still under warranty so... Also installed new disc and pads from PowerStop (better but not so much) and painted the calipers in red.

So while I wasnt working, I decided to spend the money that I was supposed to spend in my two trips that got cancelled because of the Covid on my MINI.. ok maybe a bit more.. haha

I found these wheels that I wanted for a long time that im planning on repainting in white (will see if I dont like it i’ll go gloss black later). 18inch Cone Spoke oem. They should arrive tomorrow.

Also, went a bit crazy on ECS tuning, Ebay and other websites, ordered;

- NM springs
- 12 mm ECS spacers FRONT
- 17 mm ECS spacers BACK
- NM short shifter
- Black Lines
- Black Grill Surround
- Black beltline kit
- Black door handles
- Black gas cap
- JCW front splitters replica
- V-Gate ob2
- JCW pro side markers
- Rev9 intercooler

Also found used;
- Catless Miltek DP
- JCW pro exhaust
- 25mm NM rear sway-bar + ajustable links
- Agency Power Intake
- OEM JCW rear diffuser
- UK taillights

Should get stock in the next days can’t wait to see and drive it!

Looks great! What shop do you use in Montreal? You planning on driving your mini in the winter?

Yes, it was supposed to be my winter car haha but I love MINIs.

It is actually a friend of mine who installs parts on my car.

My other car is this one;

I’ve never been a convertible person but that color, it is incredible. Makes me feel better about lowering mine now knowing the mini is your winter wheels. Hard to explain most people what out roads and winters are like.
