Curious about 2 of your mods. Where did you get the AC Schnitzer Front Splitter? Their site isnt really helpful and all I can find is the JCW version

Also, can you post a picture of your rear seat delete? I have a ghetto rear seat delete...... keep the seats down so Id love to see the rear version.

youve raised your car up a dozen times, have you seen whether the transmission has a drain plug, and what size it would be?

thanks

Wish I could help you, but I haven't even looked for that yet. I'm only at 20K miles and won't be doing that for another 10-20K. I'll probably be going with Dimple brand plugs when I do. When I did my first oil change after I got the new motor I replaced the oil pan plug. I called Dimple and they told me which size I needed. Maybe they can help with the transmission plugs too.

Just ordered my Sparco sets and associated hardware.

"F56 Sparco seat kit, includes 2 Sparco Chrono seats in Black, 1 slider, 2 Sparco seat bases, 2 red Sparco 4 point cam lock belts".

Hope to get them installed sometime in the first two weeks of March.

Can't wait to see them installed (and of course your review).

Wow ! very nice MINI and setup, I love the very focused mods you have. It makes a lot of sense, and I am sure you enjoy your car a lot ! I'am really loving that S4sShifter, I'm very close to try to get one here in Japan ... just scared I'm gonna get hammered by customs (again).

Thanks. It'a hard to describe what a difference the CravenSpeed adjustable short shifter, CS Pro Clip, and S4S shift **** makes. It feels so much better it's like night and day. Since you obviously have a good speed shop available to install it for you, it would be worth your while to look into. It would definitely complement your other mods.

On another note, my seats were supposed to arrive this past Friday and I'm hoping to have the seats and harnesses installed by the end of the week. I'm also going to be going with a new splitter, which means I'll be offering some lucky forum member a good deal on my AC Schnitzer splitter.

I couldnt agree more with this statement! I installed the CravenSpeed shifter about 2 weeks ago and needless to say, you dont know how sloppy the stock shifter is until you get this installed. I think a SS shifter, springs (or coils) and a rear sway bar should be the 1st 3 mods you do to a mini.

My review is on my site - http://vrosetta.blogspot.com/2017/02...w-shifter.html

Well, I'm gonna be without the MINI for a few days. I dropped it off at Sneed4Speed today to have my seats replaced with Sparco units and add some red Sparco 4 point harnesses. While it's there I'm having him install one of their front splitters too.
I'm including a picture of one of the cars they were working on. I noticed it while getting a tour of the shop. Haven't seen one in years. Anyone recognize it?

If you remove the seats are you going to get a CEL for not having the circuit closed with the aftermarket seats?

Back in my STi days, you would always get one because the seat airbags were gone. A Subie tech told me that it disables the whole system meaning the wheel, passenger and side bag won't go off because of the missing seat ones

You install a resistor to simulate the load. Another resistor will tell the system that there is someone sitting in the seat so the airbags should work okay. The only thing I'm giving up is the seat heaters.

Not sure, but I will be selling the front and back seats. If you're serious I'll let you know when I come up with a price.

I believe it's in that ballpark. 1.2-1.6 KΩ.

Vetsvette, I believe you once recommended something for the windshield. I just got new glass and can't help but notice wiper blade marks on the last one. I've used rain-x before and like it. But I really prefer to have my glass well, crystal clear.
