Just went to my first event today, and got a chance to ride in an '07 cooper. WOW, that cooper can fly! I just cant wait to race my Cooper S!
Anyone autox their r56's?

We do. Hubby does well; I bring up the rear. I did beat someone in a BMW last time, though...

Just got back from my first autocross. Drove my Porsche 911 (993). WOW, they are a lot of fun. The Cooper will see an autocross when it comes.

Better to do an autocross first. Get an instructor to ride with you.

exaclty, thats what im doing next time. i observed today, then im going to get a pro in with me for my next time and run in the novice g-stock.

I am a member of the BMWCCA, and the chapter in DC hosts tons of autocrosses! I plan on doing some once my R56 is broken in and has some better tires. (And wheels!)

First autocross a couple weeks ago. came in first in the novice division (12 of us). 47th overall out of 108.

I wish I knew why I was so slow--I'm going to ride with an instructor the next time. Unfortunately there's no autocross in May.
