Note that they couldn't actually transform back into a car - they were basically giant robotic figurines that were made with the appearance of MINI parts. Cool, but not the same as the official toys that CAN be converted into vehicles, etc.
Here's a photo of one, although they had several designs (colors, flags, etc)

Somewhere on the MINI-USA was a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE PDF picture of the aformentioned MINIbot that you could print out and hang. That wasn't too long ago, mabye still there, or I think it's on my computer if you can't find it.

Hasbro and Dream Works tried to get the licence from MINI to do a MINI Cooper transformer for the movie after getting turned down for the New Beetle.
Because MINI wanted to do their own DW and Hasbro were turned down from MINI too.
Now take a good look at the face of the "MINIbot" and the face of Bumblebee from the movie. Notice a resemblance?
DW's little FU.
There is a classic Mini cooper Transformer that was only made for the UK in the 80's and pops up on ebay once in a while. Not very often though.

It's the display version
Only place I've found them was on eBay and I think that this one came from Amsterdam or the UK. Happy hunting

So Mike suggested that I post this little project that I was working on. Here's my first prototype of my little bot. He's put together using parts from a mini cooper model, transformers (ironhide), and some other random flea market toys (it was in spanish so I have no idea what it was). Wings are from Angel (x-men)

The third link is the whole album. There are some other shots of parts. I'll be adding more pictures of him after I finish another project.
Enjoy,
Michael
