Who is taking a cruise on the Asian Chorus?
It's been a 2+ month wait already, but she's taking her cruise starting today! Our baby will be tanning on the deck and sipping mojitos on the Asian Chorus. Anyone else?
Congrats and welcome to NAM! That is going to be a niiiice color combo!
There's just one other person I know of so far on the ship, who is then having it shipped to Seattle (got a deal and quicker delivery that way?!?!). I can't find the ship on any trackers now, but in a day or so she should be close enough to Canada.
If all the stars are aligned, we could see delivery first weekedn in May!

Now explain this for super duper weirdness.
When the ship left Southampton, I looked at the "cargo number" and there were supposedly 111-ish VINs for cards on board (definitely over 100). I was showing off my fun distraction to a coworker just now and it has 99 VINs. Did they just dump 10 cars overboard?!? I'm sure this is probably cars that were scheduled to get aboard that did not, but it's funny. Or isn't

Have you found other "in the flesh" pics? I think it is going to be a very cool chameleon color, changing in every light. I hope to see it tonight at the dealer.
There's some here

and a bunch buried here

There's almost no pics of the new Nightfire Red, but we'll both get to look at the colors every day soon enough!

Unfortunatley I can't track it either. I got a trial membership at AISLive, and that still says "out of range" and Sailfx never had any info on the ship. I don't know how it all really works, with voluntary reporting, etc.
I am confused though, because the WW site has the ship scheduled to arive in Halifax at 3:00am this morning (that's not a recent update, just the original itinerary). My best guess was AISlive would lose ships in the open ocean but should know where they all are near shore.
I did get to watch it leave Southampton. That was pretty cool! Sorry I didn't save any screenshots! I wish I did, I could have put it in the MINI baby book!

I think that the Port of Halifax seems to think the boat is there. Am I reading this right?

AIS is world wide. I can at least browse North America. But none of the ships that I see at Halifax seem to match the list on the portofhalifax site, so I don't get that at all!
On the portofhalifax site, I don't get why it still says ETA, ETD. I read it as "scheduled to arrive at 10:30am", and implying that it is not there. Most other ships don't have the "ETA", seeming to imply they are actually in port.
????? I'm sure our little ones are fine!

Still no site of her, but no longer listed on the portofhalifax site, so that's good.
Just for fun, here's the thread for our BMW cousins that are our playmates! Not much activity however.

She is now moored in NY!
(I have to use screenshots, because the images are dynamic links...or basically because of my stupidity, can't figure out how to copy the image)
I had to shrink it, so it is hard to read, but the "Asian Chorus" label is the third above the red circle. HOORAY!

I guess we're on US soil, because it looks like the ship is on it's way out!
Oh, so photo comes up pretty small...Asian Chorus is in the middle of the Hudson headed south towards the bottom.
(I figured out how to link to the image to get a large one, but that's useless because it will keep updating).

Ok, so I am a major idiot. I'm almost sure that of the above is wrong, in terms of MINI tracking. On the ship's itinerary, notice that there are two NY stops. This was the first stop. Later today it goes to the NJ inspection facility. Geography was always a weak subject for me...but I should have recognized Manhattan!
Sooo, if I catch the progress into NJ, I'll save that all for one post so that I can stop having this skitzoid conversation with myself!
