What is the road noise or sound level in general in the MCS like? Beyond the fun factor, I'd like to use the car for longer trips without earplugs. Will a long trip leave you fatiqued due to ride and noise? Thx. JHB.

 

More quiet than my 2003 Honda Accord !I dont have sun/moon roof.

 

The longest journey I have made so far was from Alexandria City in Va to Annapolis, MD. I have to say that with the music on sunroof and windows closed and MCS in non-sport mode, it is pretty quiet. Definitely no need for ear plugs. Seats are comfy and ride quality on smooth roads is great. Given the great fuel economy, I think the new MINIs will make good long distance driving cars.

 

I have a sun roof.

Some noticable road noise, but I think it has to do with the hard runflats. Not ear-plug worthy.

 

My 2004 with the sunroof was quiet. 2007's supposed to be quieter.
