In search of the mythical wooden brake handle...

I have read lots of discussion about it, and think I remember seeing it mentioned in the Mini Configurator, however, my MA is saying it there is no part # for it. Originally, I was going to order the wood wheel to go with the wood dash that I did order, but I thought it may be too much. So I thought I would add the wood shifter and brake handle instead. My dealer is going to give me the wood shifter but is saying the brake handle does not exist. Has any one actually seen one?

Thanks

I fairly sure I saw one offered aftermarket. Cant remember which vendor, but I am sure it was linked off of NAM.
If I spot it again, I will drop a line.

Im sure if you wait a bit, BMW will get their parts situation straightened out for the R56. Right now it is a mess. Give it a while.

At least that explains the rattling.

Where did you find the wooden shift ****? I can't find it in the configurator. There are leather shifter/brake handle combinations in various colors, but no wood.

If I understand the situation...and from viewing the configurator a few weeks ago...it was not listed an option. When you selected English Oak trim, a box of narrative came up....that's where the oak e-brake handle and shift **** was mentioned. Things may have changed since I last viewed the configurator.

Just tried it and couldn't get it to happen.

I think it was mentioned when you selected the wood wheel, which is no longer there.

Check your MINI Brochure (the large one). There is no mention of wood brake handle only door pulls, shift **** and dash.
