GP2 Brakes kit and two-pieces rotors upgrade?

Hello,

I'm about to upgrade my R56 Cooper S (2013) brakes with the GP2 kit from ECS:

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Site...Gp2/ES2857523/

Disclaimer: I'm doing this just because I like having a more elaborated braking system, do not care about performance...

The only thing I do not like about the above mentioned kit is the single piece rotor... ideally such calipers deserves a floating rotor IMO.

I was wondering, is there any GP2-specific option for 2 pieces rotors?

I tried to look around but it seems it is a very niche topic!

Thanks a lot!

I know StopTech has a BBK with Floating Rotors for the MINI... About $2.5K for the kit.

But I don't know if anyone else makes them.

The trade off is the GP2 kit includes the master cylinder if I remember correctly were as the StopTeck does not, but the StopTech kit may not have SS brake lines for the rears, but this is from memory.

Hope this helps

Motor on!

Personally, for that price plus a possible rotor upgrade I'd rather get a StopTech brake set up front and rear. IMO it looks better and you get the 2 piece rotors. No sweat.

Thanks for the hint, I'll look at them!

Honestly, it is a bit matter of personal taste, I'm Italian, I would stick to Brembo if possible...we do few things good, brakes are one of those

Edit:

Just to clarify a bit, I'm not looking for a floating rotor kit with any caliper, Brembo has indeed one for around 3K, but it has 4 pistons calipers.

What I would is to mount the (Brembo) 6 pistons calipers from GP2 and *possibly* get a floating rotors :(

I'm sure the size is different (330?) so I think I can't just buy a pair of floating rotors not meant for the GP2 calipers...they have to be specific.

So question basically is, what if a GP2 owner would look for a floating rotor upgrade?

We offer a simpler GP brake kit as not everything is needed.

Right now we don't have any floating rotors, but as time goes on they will become available.
