JCW Wing questons

I saw several JCW wings added to MCSs in Las Vegas last week end.

Question---Did you guys install them yourself? My concern is the glue process. I want to do it myself, but on the road I drive about 90 on average and hit 145 a few times on the great roads back to Texas. Will the glue hold at high speeds? Should I have the dealer install the wing so that it is their problem if it comes off?????
thanks

E-Mini

Definately a two person install, the car is desgined to handle the autobahn physiacally, not to mention these cars do get raced time to time, warranty claim and explination is all up to you, and whether or not your dealer cares to listen.

Thats 145 KPH...We use the metric system in the Independant Republic of Texas, so when you consider that there are roads posted at 130 KPH (~80 mph) it's really not that much over.

From El Paso, east is the widest, smoothest, uncrowded road that I have ever been on. And it curves with hills. I will admit that it took a while to get the last 5 mph, but did it three times--don't have to do that now

If this isn't at a track, you have not learned.

You might want to consider the M7 wing

I got nailed for speeding on I-10 at Mile marker 88 in TX yesterday. 89 in an 80. They were thick as flies on s...well you know. Talk about wide open area. The per capita population for that county is 0.3 people per square mile. Road was uncrowsed, nothing for miles in each direction. Smooth as a baby's bottom too. Speed limit there should be "Reasonable and Prudent".

I still like the JCW better cause it flows with the lines of the roof better.

The M7 wing is a little too big for me and I like the JCW curve to match the body
