Nido: I assume this is a question for me, I'll answer even if it's not, I don't think I got too many extras, I mean If I were buying a caravan I would have gotten much more ha ha, I chalk it up to a small dealer that is more customer focused than A larger dealer, heck they only have 2 sales people, both are very eager to help you out, but I've found with any dealer just ask for stuff as if you A. deserve it ( you do) and B. you assume that asking is just a formality, I mean I probably could have grabbed a polo shirt or a duffle bag, is he going to raise a stink in the middle of a delivery, and embarras a customer?? Boldness to the extreme, works 75% of the time, when it fails it fails misreably ha ha ha...
discount....
$750 discount, extended warranty & matts. My 3rd Mini from the same dealer. The R56 saless are flat in current inventory. Dealers are making incentive offers but you may have to call around.
MSRP, tank of gas, floor mats. Trying to wrangle JCW mats vs. regular since neither are in stock yet anyway. I can't believe anyone is paying more than MSRP. The dealer I bought from MINI of Towson in MD has over twenty Cooper Ses, everyone a little different! I think sales will pick up in the spring after tax time.

dean.
Tate Mini in MD was very good to me
There was no markup, I got free mats, free chrome checkerboard tag frames, free valve caps, free installation of a couple of add-on parts, without asking they gave me a free full tank of gas (frankly, I think that should be expected, shouldn't it?), and when my car did not come with the wood wheel, shifter and brake parts, they included in the agreement that they would owe me those, when they become available.
It may have had something to do with the fact that I bought the most loaded car they had seen at that point, but I was pleased.
They also were awesome about answering every question (or finding out the answers to things they didn't know), were great with the test drives, with the prep, with communication about the delivery of my vehicle... everything. A first class operation. I absolutley felt that they were treating me just as they would thier BMW customers. MA's name was Scott, by the way.

maybe on an 06 model where there are significant discounts right now, but not on 2007s. Reason? Because of the low supply and high demand curve--and the high residual/resale values--in MINis short US history there have never been any kind of signifcant incentives (defined here as low apr, cash back, heavy dime plus discounts off MSRP, etc.) The car leads the US auto industry in lowest average "incentive": about $12 (half a set of rear floormats) for about 6 years running. Only Scion and Lexus come close to this mark. Also, NAM (and M2) forums have a history of people saying they got discounts, but when asked to prove this, they disappear never to be seen again. Forgive my cynicism, but this happens. Saying that dealers "are making incentive offers" w/o being specific as to who and what only provides a false sense of hope to new buyers. I called 10 MINI dealers in different markets around the US and the best "incentive" I could find is MSRP plus some chump-change freebies or a full tank o gas.
Nothing personal here, but if you're going to make comments like this, be specific.
Agree with Sequence. For me MSRP, free mats, and hopefully free mudflaps. I do have a commitment from MINIUSA to add wood wheel if/when it becomes available.
I was at my dealer two days ago and mini is discounting 06's 1000 dollars or 1.9% APR. He had 4 MCS and 5 MC left. MINI of Nashville if you are interested.

Yes Towne in Buffalo will cut a deal all day on an R53 ( about 6 left) but there are like 2-3 R56's left on the lot and maby 2 more in the showroom Just MSRP no better. As for older model impact it happens with all cars, but I think what is helping matters slightly is the 07' convertable is a carryover so the 53 is still in production.
I ordered mine for straight MSRP, talked the dealer up another $500 on my trade-in, have my free tank of gas coming, and the manager said I'd get a "surprise" when I take delivery and get to go pick something out of the boutique (don't even know what that is). They're also matching/beating my auto loan rate from my bank by using Chase, which is better than BMW Financing.
Not as good as $1k off or 0.9% financing or something, but a pleasant dealer interaction...
