Lightning Blue with Pacific Blue Color Line

I'm in the process of selecting my R56 MCS. I went to the dealer yesterday to see if they had a Lightning Blue MINI with a Pacific Blue color line....no luck. Has anyone seen or does anyone have a Lighting Blue MINI with the Pacific Blue color line? How does it look? Great...just OK...or 'yucky" (for lack of a better term).

Great question given the difficulty of making critical decisions like this based solely on the configurator. I myself have been making multiple weekly trips to the dealership to check out options in the flesh. I have not seen any MINIs here in Lightning Blue or in Pacific Blue trim...but you are definitely on the right track in getting more direct input on the combo.

To find some Lightning blue pics check out these links from mini2.com. I'm not sure if anybody has the pacific blue coloring but they should give you a better idea of what the color looks like.

we have at least one... maybe two like that in stock. it looks great! we have had lots of customers compliment on the color combo. It also look surprisingly good on the laser blue too. i figured it would look good on one blue and not the other... but somehow it works well on both!

good luck

I'm thrilled to hear that it looks good! I really want to go down that path. Thanks for the links too...it helps. It's tough making critical aesthetic decisions based on the configurator alone.

I took a leap of faith and ordered a Cooper S in Lightening Blue with white roof and wheels without seeing it in "person" except for pictures. I ordered the Pacific Blue colorline and the cloth seats, Gotham Grey interior color and Piano Black interior surface. Other decorative options: chrome line interior, checkered mirror caps and white turn signals.

I haven't posted before, but have lurked around and appreciate all the help that people on this board provides.

Probably won't see "Belle" (as in blue belle) until May sometime but will post pictures when she arrives.

I've had my Lightning Blue/black roof, Pacific Blue trim w/ Brushed Alloy (leatherette seats) for about two weeks now. It's BLUE alright. One friend called it cobalt blue. It is a strong medium blue, that looks quite a bit darker when the sun isn't out, very bright when it is. I'm totally happy with it.

My dealer used to have the Lightning Blue/Black roof/ pacific blue seats and pacific blue color line car I ordered in stock, but it looks like they sold it. With that said my 2nd one with the same color combo should be coming by this weekend or so. I had to re-order because of the MFSW mixup. I'll take lots of pics and post when I take delivery.

fjork duf,

It appears that you have a great MINI on the way. I can't wait to see it.

Thanks.

i ordered Lightning Blue/Black with the Pacific Blue color line -- the Pacific seems to be right in between the Lightning & Laser ... maybe that's why it works with both! actually MiniMoMir -- i think that's almost exactly the combo i ordered!

Doesn't look all that hot in that picture. Wondering how it looks in real life?

It looks just like that in real life. Maybe it's not for you.... but, hey, that's alright.

I've got the Lightning Blue MCS/Pacific Blue color line with black stripes and roof, and everyone who takes a close look at gives a good compliment to me. I personally think it looks fantastic (especially with the brushed alloy) and wouldn't change a thing.

I also took a big chance as I never saw this combo in reality before ordering it. I only saw pictures here...

Also, at night with the interior lighting set at full blue, the sport button on, my wife in the passenger seat and the kids home with a baby sitter, it just makes me feel like I'm driving something awesome (which I am) and like I'm packaged up in a million bucks worth of coolness.

Good luck, and hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine!

i'm right there with ya! i always get compliments on my LB/B. i actually just removed my bonnet stripes cause i decided they darkened the hood up a bit too much. i have the chrome mirror caps, but i'm thinking of getting black ones and JCW black grill surrounds. how cool is it that you can easily do that on a car?
