Members List on left side gone...

What happened to that? I used to use it to PM members if they were not online, but alas, no more.......

I disabled this as it was providing an additional load on the server. You can still use the buddy list and/or click on the user's name in a post to private message them.

The buddy list only works if they are online or if you can find a post they made. Is there some way to intergrate the search function to search for posts of a member?

EDIT: Never mind, I found it

It's impossible to find a member's posting when you can't find their thread to start with...

For example, I want to PM an old friend but can't quite remember how to spell their screen name...he's not on my buddy list and I can't find any of his postings...now what? :impatient

Also, if you sort of know their username, just start a new blank PM and start typing their username. It will suggest possible usernames based on just a few characters.

Also, you can use:
  1. Search (at top of every page)
  2. Click on Advanced Search
  3. Start entering the username and it will present matches for the characters you've entered so far.
  4. Select the one you want
  5. Select the type of search you want for this user (threads or posts) and search
This will show all threads/posts created by this user
