Your Top 5 Best Songs for Top Down Motoring...

Has to be another thread on this subject, but was unable to find it. So, if you had to choose 5 songs for inclusion in your Drop Top Motoring All Time Favorite CD, what would they be?

Great music of any type that fits the open driving experience, doesn't have to be songs that mention driving, or have driving as themes. So far, I've come up with.

Red Barchetta - Rush
Like A Stone - AudioSlave
Paralyzer - Finger Eleven
Summer Girl - LFO
Wishlist - Pearl Jam

Louie, Louie - The Kingsman

While it's a classic and in most top lists anyway, there's just something about having the lid down and cranking it up.

(Yes, my MINI is a tin top, but My last car was a Sebring 'vert)

One that always comes to mind for me is:

Twilight Zone by Golden Earring

The other four seem to depend on my mood that day.

Some others that come to mind:
Dreams by Van Halen
Let's Get Rocked and White Lightning by Def Leppard(actually a lot of stuff by Def Leppard)

"Bridge of Sighs" (the album, not just the song) is all around great for motoring, period.

My top 5 top down motoring songs:
"Bowtie" -- Outkast
"Love Gun" -- Rick James
"Love Shack" -- B-52's
"Parentheses" -- The Blow
"Get You In" -- Better Than Ezra

I like looking at other peoples' lists, there are always great suggestions to add to my driving playlist.

Although I have a hard top. I never have the windows up so my music is always blaring for all to hear. And I try to listen to the stuff that I love most, the stuff that isn't widly known, Wolf Parade, Death Cab for Cutie, (Alot of older) Modest Mouse, The Postal Service, and Some Techno.

Alright, so it seems my list will differ quite a bit from everyone else's, but here are a few of my favorites:

DJ Shadow - Organ Donor (Extended Overhaul Mix)
Blue Man Group - Rods and Cones
Cream vs. The Hoxtons - Sunshine of your Love
Moby - Flower

And to get a rise out of people: Austin Powers theme

And when I'm feeling like some classic rock:

Golden Earring - Radar Love
The Knack - My Sharona
Cream - Sunshine of your Love
Cream - White Room
Pink Floyd - Money
Queen - Another One Bites the Dust
CCR - Down on the Corner
CCR - Bad Moon Rising

The list could go on for a while.

Can a non-ragtop guy join in?

I haven't motored top down since 1976 when I had a 1966 MGB. Back then my favorite top-down tunes were:

David Bowie: Young Americans
Dobie Gray: Drift Away
Three Dog Night: Never Been to Spain
War: Low Rider
Smokey Robinson: Tears of a Clown

Motorhead: Ace of Spades (This was the backing track in the Top Gear episode when the Lotus Exige was up against the Apache Helicopter.)

Crystal Method's album "Tweekend" is very good as well.
