Hmm, those are normally items that are "in stock" and fitted by the dealer not the factory, so I'm surprised they haven't got them...... My MA did something similar; charged me for the Ipod adapter, when its not even available.

I picked up my MY on 2.23.07 and the checkered sideview mirror covers and roof graphic were on back order. I liked the way the car was without it so I said forget those items. They had the black rubber floor mats but the driver's side mat rides up on the gas when driving so I'm thinking of cutting the mat or getting something else. My rims were almost a no-go because they only had the Gen1 R90's which don't fit the R56 as the "offset" is different.... don't know what that means but they got the right ones and I am happy! The driving lights were in stock so that was good but since it was their first install of the new lights it took quite a while. I still have one accessory on back order - the cover for the back seat and boot.... I love my car and I would have taken it without all the extras!!

Don't cut the mat. It was not properly installed by your dealer. There are a couple of tabs that must be installed that keep the mat from moving.

Take it back to the dealer.

I have a warehouse slowly filling up with R56 parts...mirror caps, floor mats, boot liners, driving lights, grills, armrests...

Don't have it on the website but if you ask I may have it in or have it coming....

Would you happen to have the alarm kit?

Guess I was lucky--everything was in stock including the Union Jack mirror covers!

JCW Wing for R56 is on National Backorder according to our MA.

Also didn't manage to get a JCW wheel worked out for the R56 due to the fact that we spec'd the stock MCS wheel (2 spoke) with no interruption on the configurator's part about the fact that there is no straight forward way to mount the JCW wheel that the configurator allowed us to spec as an add on.

Our JCW Aero kit didn't come in with the car, but MA was able to get it too us within 3 days from delivery date.

My driving lamps were in stock when I took delivery, but they forgot to order the replacement grille. That's been remedied, and I hope to get that done Monday, if my plates come in.

The parts department at our local dealer said that it would take until mid summer to see a complete stocklist of accessories.

I wonder if the delays are related to the containers of BMW parts that were lost off the coast of England a couple of months ago. Maybe some MINI parts were also on board?

To the best of my knowledge those containers had engines and motorcycles?
