Justa Catback on an MCS?

Looking into a Cooper(non-s) Catback system for the MCS.

Has anyone done this?
Plusses/Minuses?
Issues (besides needing a Cooper rear valence)?
Brand?
Sound Clip?

I currently run a 2.5" Catback One-Ball, and just don't see the need for the extra weight/bigger wallet hit of a 2-can system.

Thanks,
Tom

There are many exhaust systems available for the MCS with one muffler....

Alta, Dinan, MyMINI (Minspeed), ...

I realize their are single-sided MCS exhausts, but I want to find out if poeple have used MC exhaust on their 'S'. For example the Magnaflow on the Cooper gets good comments for nice sound. I wonder if an 'S' owner has tried out the Magnaflow MC exhaust, etc.

Wow. . . I'm stunned! I figured there would be at least a handful on MINIs that have gone this route. If not, lets open this up to custom single-sided exhausts (nothing 'buy and bolt').

Yes, stock piping on the MC is smaller than the stock MCS piping, but the various aftermarket MC catbacks come with different pipe diameters. Some use the MC stock diam (interestingly, I've noticed most of these seem to be euro in origin), some come with MCS stock diam. Though there may be others, the Mag is the only one I know of that comes with 2.5" piping.....at least, I think it does.

I know a few MCS owners have done this. I remember reading about one guy who blasphemously altered a rare RSpeed MC catback, but I can't remember how he adapted it. That is, did he reroute the tail pipe to the MCS center opening or did he change his rear apron? Dunno. Also, though the MC rear can occupies the same space as the MCS passenger side can, the hangers are different.
