OK, I have to ask you, are the pin stripes paint or decal? I had a friend in MN that used to paint that caliber pin stripes by hand, expensive. I do like the way it looks.

OT but curious: Is that "Schultze" as in "Hogans Heroes"?

 

The bonnet stripes & the pinstriping are both vinyl.

Maybe a few years down the road I'll actually get painted bonnet stripes & pinstriping. My brother does it, but he's in OH and I'm in VA.

Yes!!!

I'd been driving the car for almost a month and still hadn't come up with a name. One day at the office we were talking about tvs shows & stuff and one guy who is 23 & just got married last November was saying how he had suddenly become just like his grandparents: eat dinner, watch the news, watch Wheel of Fortune, watch another show or two and then go to bed.

I shared what my grandparents did while I lived with them to care for them: eat dinner, watch the news, watch Wheel of Fortune, watch Hogan's Heroes and then get them ready for bed. Of course NO ONE at the office had EVER heard of Hogan's Heroes! I gave a quick synopsis and then while I was doing my best "I know nuss-ing!" and talking about how Schultze was my favorite character when I stopped in mid-sentence, threw my hands in the air and said "THAT'S IT! I FINALLY HAVE A NAME FOR MY MINI AND IT'S SCHULTZE!"

'course they looked at me crazy, but hey, at least my MINI has a name now.
