OK, let's all take a vote as to exactly how stupid I am

I had to share this. I was driving home a half hour ago and noticed a good friend in the rear view. I opened the sunroof to wave to him, easily forgetting that we got 3 inches of snow and ice last night. So I wound up with all of that snow in my lap on my seats etc. Exactly how stupid is that?

On the other hand, this little girl handles so amazingly welll in 3 inches of snow and ice, that this is how I forgot.

Okay- take your best shots!

David

Ummm well...I can see how that could happen if you were wrapped up in the moment. Otherwise..no comment
PS....I could see myself doing something like that too. Happy Motoring!

Well CTDAVID, that was pretty dumb. Kind of reminds me of someone using a Bobcat skid loader for the first time and forgetting to level the bucket load of dirt as he raised it high to dump it into a truck. When you do that, a lot of the dirt ends up in your lap (not that it happened to me, it was some guy I knew ).

Should have been driving faster so the snow would have flown off!

Funny, tho. Thanks. I needed that this morning!

Actually, I should have cleared the snow off the top. That was stupid and careless of me. But then I was the only one "harmed" so all is well.

Not something I would do (I hope), but I can see how, in the enthusiastic heat of the moment, you might lose your head, or rather, get it covered with snow. =oD

It depends on whether or not your friend witnessed the calamity. Stupidity is directly proportional to the number of witnesses.

Are we doing this on a scale of one to ten or do you want to use some sort of comparison scale?

Hmmm. when I was in basic training oh so many years ago, my TI had a saying he loved to use: "Airman, that was dumb, dumb, dumb!"

Remark

This is usually what I say to myself..."Well, I wouldn't do that again."

Mistakes...It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others

One of my favorites

Not as dumb as when I backed into my other vehicle and had to call the insurance company and tell them I was in an accident with myself.

I now feel smart for NOT getting a sunroof. But there are plenty of other ways to look stupid.

Okay...you were stupid not to clear the snow off the roof of your car. I always complain about following people who don't bother to clear the snow off their roofs because it literally blinds the guy following you as the snow blows off the top. So take 30 seconds next time to just brush the stuff off your roof before taking off. okay...enough of my lecture.

But I out-stupided you the other night. I was driving home from work and spotted a Velvet Red MINI Cooper in front of me on the highway so I sped up and got beside it and thought I recognized the car as Velveteen MINI's and that the driver sure looked like her. So I cut her off (almost running her off the highway, I think) and waved at her and flashed my brake lights. Then drove off and took my exit. All in good fun.

Then I emailed Velveteen MINI saying she didn't wave back or flash her headlights at me. Velveteen replied she wasn't near my place that time of night and after thinking about it, I realized the car didn't have the pinstripe nor the MINI logo on the sunroof, so I probably looked like a road raged idiot to that MINI driver.

LOL! I dumped a sunroof full of of standing water on myself once - ONCE - when I had my Civic. Always remember to drive for as bit before opening a tilt-up/slide-back sunroof if the car's been sitting outside in the rain.
