Best way to remove gold anodizing from rotors?

What is the best and safest way to remove gold anodizing from rotors without causing damage? I want to do this prior to installation.

ArmyDog,

The gold on the surface of the rotor (pad area) will go away after a day on the track, turns into silver/grey.

For the other areas of the rotors, we just use a black spray can.

don't worry about doing it prior to install.....bed the pads/rotors properly and there will be no gold left in the area swept by the pad. one track day and the remaining parts turn blue (if used properly). i've done it. pics provided if necessary....
