i found the instructions on how to reset my oil counter for service here, but can't get it to reset. i push the trip reset button and hold while inserting the key and turning it to the first space. i never get a "reset" prompt. all i get is "test". i've tried every combination of holding and pressing i can think of. what am i doing wrong?

 

1) Press and hold the trip button.
2) Insert key and turn to position 1
3) watch for RESET to appear
4) release the button, scratch your butt, then press and hold it again (not your butt).
5) wait for the reset to flash
6) release the button, and then press and release (once only)
7) servicie interval should then be reset to next interval
