I purchased the glovebox tidy for cabrio and just wanted to say how great it was. Alan cut a slot in it so that cabrio users with the built in aux port can still use the outlet. Fits like a dream. Now I can be organized, use my ipod in the aux jack, and still fit a couple of sodas in there to cool down. Just my $.02

 

I bought a GBO 2 years ago w/nothing special done to it & it didn't interfere w/my AUX jack. Anywho the GBO's are great & a def necessity in a Mini

 

I just got one. No instructions so I suppose you just push in and call it a day. I did notice that the two uprights in the middle have little holes in them. Looks like some sort of bracket could fasten to them to make it permenant. Thoughts?

 

I just shoved mine in & never thought about it again. Will have to check for holes

 

An interesting detail, the holes on my GBT are MINI Logo shaped.

 

Yes...the GBO is a must-have!

Rc's must have got the 'other' one. The GMG GbT has always had the shaped hole that is similar to another shape we all know. Did I dance around that enough... Only the old wood ones that I made a several years ago had something different.

101dals pointed out to me that the new Cabrios have a standard AUX in the glovebox and its location is in the center of the little plastic cover on the left back wall. Well, the GbT shelf is really close to that location. Therefore, I made a special little slot that not only clears an audio connector but should also protect it a little too.
