New Cabrio redesign

Is this not happening until 2009 model year? I haven't joined the MCSC club yet, and I'm willing to wait if the new cabrios come out in 2008. But 2009 just seems so far away. Anyone have any info on this? I've read conflicting reports from different sites, but is it all just speculation at this point.

If its not coming out until 2009, I've already got my MCSC spec'ed out and ready to order.

I've been wanting one for over a year now, but when we bought our most recent car my wife insisted on the 330. Recently, as an anniversary present, she rented us a MCSC for four days. It was so awesome that now its all I'm talking and thinking about.

If you google 2009 mini-cooper convertible, there are spied pictures of what it will look like. However, yes it will come out in 2009. Also there is a new color for the cabrio shown at the detroit car show. If you go to autoweek.com you can view the photos. I like the color, but not the wheels.

Motoringfile has the details you are looking for. Expect the Clubman in Feb 08 and the new Cabrio in early 09.

I might be mistaken, but I don't think that there is any real difference between the '06 and the '07 so i went for the 2006. I was able to get it for $500 under msrp. Plus, I don't think I could have waited 3+ months to get a 2007.
