Offset Help Please?!

I have an '05 MCS and I am thinking of purchasing a set of 17x7 ADR Sokudo's with a set of Falken 215/45/17's, the offset of the wheel is +40mm. Does anyone forsee any fitament issues? Please help a brother out here.
Thanks in advance

ru lowered? if you are the rear will rub, ALOT, i had 215/45 snows on 40mm aftermarket wheels and it'd rub everytime i go over bumps, or have more than 2 people in the car, it was severe enough to force me selling those wheels and find old s-lites

that said, if you arent lowering, then its fine...

I am running stock suspension, would less or more offset decrease the rubbing chances with 215's? Any advise would be helpful as I am sure I want the 215's.
Thanks y'all

yes, the quality of the ADR's will not fit the MINI.

higher offsets will move the wheels/tires inwards towards the car away from the fender.

Yah, most people that have gone lower with 215 45 R17 need 48 to 52mm offset.

those are pretty high numbers...it must look pretty silly. Is it worth the extra sidewall of a 45?

Not really high at all. stock S-Lites have a 50 offset, the X-Lites have a 48.

i dont think its that high, regular people run 42-50mm without problems.. anymore deeper and you'd rub either side...

I run stock height with 225/50/16's at a 35mm offset and the stance and handling is great with no rubbing.

it's pretty high if you want your car to look good

Too high? Too high you say? I personally have never have been a fan of the rubber band sized tyres, so I will admit that I do prefer a bit of extra side wall. Call it "baby got back," but I am hooked on it...
