We've had our Mini for a few days now.
Toady on the Ventura Freeway, 101 north near Agoura, I got my first wave back.
The blue MCS was ahead of me and in he othe lane.
Got closer to check it out and wave.
Driver beat me to it.
I think the plate war AIR DNCR.
Very cool.
Thanks.
You'll get lots of waves as time goes by. One of the really great things about MINI ownership is the community of quirky weirdos who are, like you, having an absolute blast motoring about in their MINIs!!!
I remember my first wave, I was so caught off guard I didn't know what ot do, first time I'd seen another MINI (and been able to think of it as another MINI) but ever since then I wave religiously to make up for that one missed oppurtunity.
BTW Chicagoians, 176 in Island Lake by Cotton Creek elementary PS/B MCS woth bonnet strips, felmale driver, late afternoon between August 10 and August 23 of 2005, post up if it was you.
Glad to hear that you got your first wave............i always keep reading that not many people in Cali wave anymore, whats their problem?
I usually try to make eye contact first and then wave.. 95% of the time, they just keep on driving. The other day I sat right next to a PW/B MCS at a traffic light, glanced over at the driver and he didn't even notice that I was there. Yeah.. the LA area is horrible.
Same problem here in chicago there are just too many on the road right now, when oyu get 100+ miles from the dealer everybody waves
Yeah its completely true, here in rockford i get 9 waves out of every 10 MINIS i see, its great and the same goes when im by my girlfriends house in McHenry area
