Just Finished - Painted Brake Caliper pics

I just finished painting my brake calipers this weekend. I used the G2 kit (orange). Just lettin everyone know what the orange looks like.

Yep - It's orange! It's actually a little more like the front reflector than Hot Orange. (pics from my gallery)

I think that looks great! Wasn't all that hard now was it, not for the amount of bling it adds.
Good job!

Looks good. Probably the best orange your going to find to match your car.

That is pretty sharp. I think it looks good almost matching the signal markers instead of a mismatch with everything.

Thanks for the pics! I have been considering doing this but wasn't sure how well it would match, and I can't find any orange caliper paint to look at where I live. Around here, you have a choice of red, red, or red.

I took my time on it, so I'm sure ppl could prob do it faster than I... but basically I jacked up the car after work one night (which in & of itself was scary to me) to remove all the wheels & begin cleaning the calipers. Also, what I didn't realize was the working temp is b/w 50-70 degrees - so I had to make sure my garage didn't get colder than that while I was working on it & during the 4-6 hr 'curing period' afterwords.
Anyway, you could prob do it all in one day easy.. Take off the wheels, clean the calipers real good, mix 'paint', paint em up, & wait. During the 'wait' time aint a bad time to put a good coat of wax on the wheels...so that's what I did. Hopefully this cuts down on the amt of noticable brake dust on em. The next day, I put the wheels on & was done?

I couldn't find anything but red either locally - and I didn't even know orange existed until a google search showed a recent press release from G2 releasing the orange color. Also, the 1st place I went to purchase it from didn't list orange as a possibility.. so I contacted G2 direct.

As I mentioned in the post - I'm happy that they stand out a bit, but I wouldn't have minded if it matched the "Hot Orange" more than the reflector orange.
