Need help with Hidden Holes Plate Bracket

My fiancee bought this:

http://outmotoring.com/hidden_holes_...e_bracket.html

So she would not have to drill holes in the front of the bumper. This is a plate holder by Mini that mounts with the holes drilled underneath. however, because the top sits flush with the bumper I cannot see a way to screw the license plate to the bracket on the top. If I do so, the screws / bolts will be hitting (and scratching) the very bumper we are trying to save.

I've searched and came up blank. Does anyone know if there is a way to mount the plate with the top screws holding it and not hit the bumper?

Thanks..

This is the problem with using the aerokit plate mount. It will still leave marks and requires that you still drill the bumper.

This is why we created the 'NO HOLES' LPB

Truely no drilling on the bumper.

Also, if you notice that mount blocks the air flow to engine.

STOP RIGHT NOW AND RETURN THE CONTRAPTION THAT YOUR FIANCEE PURCHASED!!!!

We have the 'NO HOLES' license plate holder and it is THE BEST! It just screws into your tow hook spot! Benefits are that there are seriously NO holes to make AT ALL and that if (as we do) you race/autox the car it is easily removed to avoid any pylons being punted off it (not that I would smack any ) and it scratching the fender/bumper.

We love the 'NO HOLES' and I am not being paid to say that It really is a great invention...we wish we thought of it first!

What kind of ticks me off, is that GoMiniGo developed it, and Moss has copied it.

Thanks for the replies. I'm happy to see that I'm not missing something although dismayed at the fact that this really does nothing more than the factory mount.

Regarding the airflow, is that really an issue? Are there dynos of the Mini with plate / no plate?

Problem: Need to drill holes for front plate.
Solution: Move to Pennsylvania

Seriously, I rather like the front plate mounts that are off to one side...they don't block airflow and look kind of cool

I'm not 100% convinced that the case since GoMINIGo has switched to a metal bracket. And I have yet to see it or if its the same looking part as before.

Mounts the same, in the tow hook hole.
