Camber plate installation, is alignment gonna be REALLY bad?
... or is it able to drive to an autox, and a few kms to work? i have a set of webb plates sitting waiting to go into the car... but i wont have time to work on it anymore until i go in on thursday to get something done....
well? is it gonna be messed up very badly if i threw them in tonight?

I think alot of it depends on how the plates are dialed in when you install them. I wouldn't auto-x on a car without knowing what kind of camber you are running though. Also, the performance shop that aligned my car after I put the plates on couldn't adjust the camber because of where the screws sit under the strut tower. They would have had to pull the whole strut out to adjust them. Solid plate, but not easy to adjust.
Camber is not the alignment issue, toe is. You will most likely mess up the toe adjustment when installing these. Incorrect toe should be driven on with much caution. You may find that your steering wheel is slightly off.
FWIW, Randy now sells the RDR/Helix plates.
Installation is pretty easy...
for pretty much any camber plate...
Remove strut assembly.
Remove top bolt (watch out, spring under tensions! Use correct tools)
Take off stock top plate.
Dependeing on model, you may or may not re-use the stock spring cap
Put back together
Put back in car.
Problem is that camber and toe couple....
I'd only do it when the next drive I was going to make was to the alignment shop!

... yea, if you could return these plates and get the new H-sports or Helix you will MUCH happier in the long run.
Adjusting the Webbs is a huge PIA unless you cut away some of the raised area around that tower opening to get to the adjustment bolts. I had to do this as there was just NO way to get them tight enough with that bent wrench that Webb recommends.
They also had an issue with the spherical joint moving up and down creating a very annoying rattle.

well.... isnt that good to hear......
well... i can park her in the garage and work on one side each night (i wont have time till i get to my mechanic's place on thursday, thankfully i got my mommy's car to drive!)
so from what im hearing, its a pretty crappy design that i cannot adjust camber without taking a bit off the strut tower? dam should i have saved that extra 250 for the helix plates?
thanks for the advice

My hand is up as the seller of the used WMS camber plates to Kyriian and have offered to allow him to return if he would rather have Helix or`other. I pretty much set up the WMS plates at a compromise position and left them so while they are indeed a pain to tighten you don't necessarily have to go to the extreme that Gregg/On-A-Sled did, even though by snipping at the tower it certainly does make it much easier to tighten the bolts and makes sense if you are tweaking or changing settings a lot.
Newer designs from others are an improvement in terms of the adjustment bolts even though for better or worse i dont' believe any offer the spherical bearing that allows a pretty direct connection.

I bolted on the Helix camber plates last weekend. The steering is fine, but I will get an alignment when time permits: Perhaps 1/8 inch toe out and 1.5˚ -ve camber.
Here's how I installed the plates:
