What's even stranger is seeing tons of MINIs in Burlington, Vermont - three hours from the nearest (US) dealership. Although, it is tourist season, and there's the Montreal dealerships a little over an hour away.

As many MINIs as there seem to be where you are, I would say that not only is Washington DC the capital of the US, its the MINI capital of the world. Sometimes they seem almost as numerous as Civics around here...

I'm going to have to do some serious traveling to spot all of these Minis. I don't see that many where I'm at.

Actually, there are 2 MINI dealerships (Boston & Peabody) less than 30 minutes from Concord so it's no surpise there are quite a few in this area.

It's very strange Jason....I went for a long drive yesterday through Williston, Essex, South Burlington, Shelburne...not one other MINI. Then I drove through Downtown Burlington around 7pm and saw 4 other MINIs besides mine on Main Street alone...weird.

NOPE, it's downtown Orlando/Winter Park! Downtown MINI is pushing some high numbers of cars through their little boutique car dealership. So many they will be moving to a bigger location next year. I see a few every AM, probably because right now I live downtown and a lot are heading in or out of the dealer. Maybe when they move and I move I won't be seeing as many MINIs anymore. But I see cars everytime I drive around here.

Did you tour Lexington as well? Last week I got out of class early one nice day and took the MINI up to Lexington and Concord. I only saw one other and waved. There was an MG-TD touring around there two, waved as well. It was a lot of fun to go up there and tool around. I smell a MINI meet coming on.

We sure have a bunch of mini's here in Concord. We also attract lot's of mini's from other towns as we're a destination/historic town with lots to see and have excellent scenic country roads to drive on. Mini's are perfect for the area. Come and enjoy! In June, I took delivery of a new British racing green MCS conv. automatic, black stripes, JCW intake, custom interior and having a lot of fun!

I too have seen many near Boston, and agree that DC is also in the running. There are many near Philly and lots in Northern NJ and the Westchester/Rockland Counties of NY too. Conversely, there are only about 10 in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area (which, when combined, is the 3rd largest city in PA).

I dunno - I'd be amazed if any city had more Minis per square mile then San Francisco

I always see multiple MINIs every time I walk the dog around my neighborhood (Russian Hill/North Beach/Marina). Between parked MINIs and those driving past, it could be as many as a dozen during a 20 minute walk (but more typically 4-6). It's interesting though that the density drops off rapidly just outside the city borders, much lower even around the rest of the Bay Area.
