Updated Bentley Manual

I'm interesting in getting this manual, but I haven't seen it updated for 05 and 06 models. There are some minor changes and I'd prefer that I have a manual for my year model.

I agree, If anyone knows when and if one is coming out, that would be great.

They posted on their forum last August that it was at least 6 months away. That would put it coming out the beginning of next year.

I've got the '04 Bentley. It was good for guidance when taking out the rear seats and opening up the speaker panel on the left side.

You won't see an update Bentley manual for 05-06 until at least the middle of next year.

It might get published early in the year (if there's no delays or addendums), but then it has to be distributed among the sellers. That usually takes a month or two. I've never seen an updated manual arrive on the shelves before the 2nd quarter.

But as the rest of my post said, being published, and being on the shelves are two different things. Especially since they are published in the UK, and must be shipped. I've got a collection of Bentley manuals all relating to MG's that I've owned. Takes a little while.

I'd be happy enough with a Chilton's book, or anything.... just not many proper MINI tech manuals out there really.

Bentley is by far the best. Followed by Haynes. Don't waste you money on a Chilton book.

Or haynes.... like I said, anything... Not that I do a whole lot of work myself, but then again, not having a good book is part of the reason I don't do more work myself.

Hmmm. Interesting. Used to be a UK only deal. All my Bentley books were written and published in the UK.
