H Stock too tall

seat all the way down, helmet on, head hits the ceiling - i have to drive with my head tilted sideways. is there anything i can do yet still remain in stock class? can i swap out the seat? bolt the stock seat straight to the floor (take it off the sliders)?
What helmet are you running? You might try different brands. When I was shopping for my last one I found at least a 1/2" difference in thickness between the different brands. The most expensive was the thinnest (forget which one that was).
Really? How tall are you? We've got tons of headroom with this car. But we don't have a sunroof. You sure you have the seat all the way down and back? Maybe try tilting the seat back?
BTW, I've heard that MA helmets aren't as large as SA helmets and MA helmets are Solo 2 legal. But I've never confirmed this.

Mitchman is right: tilt your seat back. If your head then hits the rollbar, you have to reposition the bar.
Ya, you must be really tall. One of my former competitors in an E36 318i was thinking about a Mini and took a test sit in my car one time. He's probably 6'3", and he fit fine. I don't have a sunroof.
But to answer your original question - no, you cannot change the seat, or bolt it the floor or anything like that.

Wow! I'm 6'8" and my helmeted noggin didn't hit the roof. Have my seat all the way down and back, tilted so my shoulder is at the "B" pillar. Do you have a sunroof? That kills a couple inches of headroom.

I've always thought GrassRootsMotorsports should do a "test" on which helmets are taller/shorter than others. It would be very useful to us autocrossers where the actual protection the helmet provides isn't very important. (how many head injuries have you heard/read about in Solo2....especially in a closed top car like ours?)
Personally, I'm planning to go with an MA helmet next time instead of an SA.
