Printing out a photo album recommendations

Greetings all,
One of the projects Ms. Speednut has been waiting a while for me to complete is to create a "wedding album" style book. A coworker had Picaboo print out a hardback photo book that came out very nice, however I've looked into using them and they have no clue what color profiles are and instead just told me to use "bright vibrant" photos for best results. Also, "we have heard from a number of our customers that certain images, particularly images with large dark regions, can become unusually darkened in our printing process".

Does anybody have recommendations of other places to print out photo books that they have been very happy with the results and they seem to know what they are doing?

Shutterfly states they support sRGB profiled photos, but is expensive. Others?

I have heard a lot of people being happy with mypublisher books. I am going to give them a shot with an art book before I do my wedding books in March. They also have 50% and 25% specials all the time.

I have used iphoto before and been happy with the output.

Apple Computers iphoto program has a photo album option that’s really nice and easy to use. And in iphoto you can edit and do some color correcting yourself.

Ditto here.
In fact, I just recently had an iPhoto book printed up of my oldest daughter's wedding and it turned out very nice.

Thanks for the heads up about iPhoto. Guess I should have mentioned that I've got wintel/*NIX boxes coming out of my ears, but no macs at all and iPhoto is exclusively for the macs.

Anyone else have some other recommendations?

I would steer clear from a printer that doesn't use profiles.

I haven't used them, but I've heard that asukabook does good work.

Albums Unlimited has printed about 10 of my Wedding Photo Books. Usually range about $300 for a 25 page album, hardbound and leatherette cover.
