Anyone in NW Indiana or even in North Central Indiana want to meet up some time in the next few weekends. I miss the camadery of MINICCI and MrsDiff will be moving up here towards the end of the month. I know we don't have the twisties of Southern Indiana, up here but heck a meet up would be better than nothing! MIB likes to hang out with all MINIs be they MC or MCS, Tin Top or drop top, Back in the day (1988-1990) we used to cruse LaPorte and Valpo. Maybe a meet up at a restaurant or IceCream place?

 

There are plenty of nice twisties in and around Elkhart Co and in Southern Michigan. They're sorta few and far between but it's a much nicer selection than can be found in Chicago.

There is an AutoX event this sat.and sun. at Tire Rack in South Bend. My plan is to play there. Hopefully there will be several Minis there, usually are. One guy named Ricardo with a modded JCW from your neck of the woods runs frequently. (very good) Try to make this event, really good group of people. Hope to see you there Jim

 

There are some good turns inbetween the backroads of Merrillville and Hobart but the speed limit is always 30 mph. And most of the best ones have stop signs before the turns.

The drive from Burns Harbor to Michigan City on hwy 12 is a nice run especially in the fall when the colors come out. But not tight like in Southern Indiana.

Anyone else have some ideas for a run? Hwy 2 from Valpo to LaPorte has some grdual turns but that is quite a drive.

I get my car back this week (flood). I'll be up for a drive on September 30th. I've missed two drives and am starting to go through withdrawals.

 

I am sorry to hear about your car, I tried to get out but ended up parking my car in the garage with the door closed (Thank God) My house and garage were like islands, too much more water and it would of poured through the front door.
I am off this weekend so I can probably make a drive. So far I have been working for almost all of the drives and meetings.

 

Sorry, no car yet. Maybe next weekend? I've got MINI withdrawals.
