The "can I Do This" Question Of The Week

Read the rules, but don't have a clue if I can get away with this. I would like to remove the windshield wiper arms & blades to gain a better field of view when turning in on a cone. Is this Solo 2 legal in "G-Stock"?

Seriously, I know someone that got protested for a missing rearview mirror at a national tour. It had fallen off and he had it in the car. Still the protest was upheld because he had better field of vision.

As already stated the answer is no. Besides, I autocross and can not see how you would gain any advantage from that. You can however twist your rear view mirror sideways so it does not block your view so much!

Thanks for the replies guys. Hope here springs eternal. It's what drives us all. I'm always looking for the edge,at least an allowable one. I found the wiper blades actually obscure some of the view just forward of the hood for me and thought it might help. I have learned to ask before doing something ridiculous like this though. (JD)

If the windshield wipers block your view, you are either really short, and should raise the seat, Or you are not looking far enough ahead. I'm guessing the latter.

Absolutely. If the wipers are obstructing your view, you aren't looking far enough ahead.
