Has anyone painted the grey interior pieces with the color of the outside of the car. I am interseted in painting some of the pieces red and then getting red and black leater seats put in the car.

There's a company that sells a film (like window tinting) to apply over smooth interior surfaces for color changes... I think I saw it in an ad in "Sport Compact Car" magazine. I'll try to find it.

Killerbee did this, painted the interior pieces yellow to match the stripes and logo's on the exterior. Looked AMAZING!

I'm not finished yet but here's what I've got so far.
Check out the shadow I caught on the dash purely by accident.

I repainted the trim rings of the center speedo and dash vents in my exterior EB, and also the remaining silver trim (have alloy patina dash and silver trim) in an anthracite.

Full details and pictures in this thread

and here's one teaser pic:

Cheers,
Markus

Didn't cost a thing. I am a paint tech and the boss let's me do this on my own time. I also plan on painting the dash rings and the speaker rings. The Y arms have already been painted. The way I figure it. The non-shiny or non-clear coated parts come pre-primered in silver. It was just asking to be painted.

I loved seeing Killerbee's colored interior at the Dragon in May. It looked so awesome and a really top-notch job! Impressive, because I am rarely impressed by such things.

I also think the EB interior trim pieces are looking great. Keep on painting any little bit you can remove!

Is there any special prep or paint recommended to paint the dash pieces?
