I received the New MINI book from minimania.com last week. Very good stuff on the BMW-Rover deal, the history of the old Mini, rare photographs of Minis and MINIs, MINI prototypes, etc. Great book, highly recommended if you want to all the juicy details on the development of the new MINI.

I purchased the book off of Amazon for about $18.00 and it is good reading, you will be so mad at BMW and how the screwed Rover in the deal. Lots of good pictures etc. I would highly recommend to any one!

I got the book shortly after getting my new MINI in May It's a good book but the British writer is very much slanted toward Rover and somewhat anti-BMW. I think he largely overstates Rover's role in the design of the new MINI. From other sources I have gathered that the new MINI was almost entirely a BMW creation and Rover was given the job of making it all work. In any case, it's a worthwhile read.
