I'm here in Boston on business, staying at the Best Western Roundhouse Suites... I run across the street to a highly recommended grill, when I spot a pink MC a short distance away.

I convince my business partner to walk over with me, and I scope out the MC... Base MC, I'm pretty sure it was an 05 as it didn't have the ugly bumber humps the 04 and prior had... It had normal amount of stickers stickied on the back, as well as a couple toys on the dash, and the traditional white Mini wheels (forgot exactly which ones). Obviously an enthusiastic Mini owner who loves their ride. Massachussetts plates, but no sign of any club or NAM affiliation...

So just then the store it was parked in front of closes, and the owner comes out. I tell her about NAM and that it's the 3rd pink Mini that I know of... She asked a couple questions, probably thinking I was joking because pink is obviously a custom job... But I reiterated for her to check out NAM and she said she would. Hopefully we'll have a 3rd pink diva here soon!

I didn't have my camera phone or anything on me at the time... So sorry, no pics. But it is exciting! I wish I had my Mini with me!

Well that definitely demonstrates that the universe of MINI extreme enthusiasm extends beyond the reaches of any one organization....even NAM! Good job inviting her to show off her Cooper...little does she know the fan club that awaits her!

There is a pink one in Hawaii... I believe it's driven by a younger woman...

 

The bostonian pink was a deep pink, but I didn't get close enough to see any flecking... I didn't want her to think I was stalking her or her car or anything.

I think 'bubblegum' pink is a fairly accurate description of the type & tone of the one I saw yesterday.

 

Anyone know who own the nail polish MINI contest? They give you a MINI painted in a shade to match their nail polishes. I told my buddies at work that I would paint my nails to win a MINI for sure. I think I chose metal flake green metalic. Anyone know who won and what color they chose?

I love the color pink so I painted my smartie pink. I would paint my mini pink based on me just loving the color pink, but with my experiences on my previous car....NEVER AGAIN! You won't imagine how many people looked at me. The world looked at my car every single time I was out. Because every time I was out, someone hasn't seen my pink car. Papparatzi everywhere too. Everyone taking photos!!!

Here was my last pink car...her name was TimBit. I still miss her though.

My MINI should be here any day and Im already trying to convince my other half its going to be pink. That would be so great. Im very envious of those who have them.

I think I may have seen that Boston car. I definitely saw a pink or purple MINI one evening, although it seemed to be somewhere in between bubblegum pink and Grimace purple. I didn't have my camera with me.

I've also seen an electric blue MC in Boston.

 

Didn't Motoring File just report that MINI will release "Bubble Gum Pink" for the 2007 model year?

I guess the rarity of it will fade like the flavor of Hubba-Bubba once those start arriving at the dealers. . . .
