Any good artist / graphics people out there?

I know there are....

I could use some help, input on a paint scheme for the race car. Anyone want to contribute?
I've still have a ton of stuff to do and thinking about paint is getting a bit mind boggling for me right now. I have some ideas and here they are;
  • needs to be classy, but simple enough to repair if and when I get body damage
  • No typical cute Mini paint schemes.
  • Yellow as a base color seems to be in my mind, but not an absolute.
  • Remember, it's a race car, not a show car or street rod.
That's about it. If anyone wants to offer some input please email me at rcsail@charter.net

THANKS
Greg V

One idea is to look at the magazine for Sport car club of America - Sportscar and there are loads of pictures of cars at all levels of racing and the common paint schemes they use. Then photoshop some samples using the MINI body.

Another good magazine is Grassroots Motorsports. MINIworld is also good.

If you do repaint you can add an aero bumper or two or M7 grille front and back or hood scoop at the same time.

Thanks for the input...
Actually a fellow NAMer has really stepped up to the plate here and is doing some great stuff. We hope to have something concrete in a few weeks.

Greg

I would recommend you consider Vinyl instead of Paint due to repair cost.

Thanks Mark. Yes, that is the game plan if we indeed end up with something 'detailed'. Depends on what we end up with.

I played around for 5 minutes ... not great, but it was a fun work break.

Have you thought of keeping the car black, but doing a yellow roof and mirrors ... and color matching the center of the wheels yellow?

It would look like a bee, but it would be different!
