Street Racing Hits New Low

I hope the link above works (I seem to have trouble successfully linking offsite). This is an unbelievable story about two nitwits who decided to race through a cemetery where services were taking place. There ended up being an additional corpse that day...

Unbelievable...and 52 years old. Even a Corvette driver should know better than to street, um, cemetary race.

Good ole American handling.

Did he get a discout for driving himself to the grave site?

This is why you go to the track people.

Definitely sounds more like road rage than street racing, but who knows? Stupid is as stupid does, so says Gump.

Condolences to the family, though. It's sad a moment of bad judgement has to cost so dearly.

What a fool. You'd think that by 52 you'd be able to control your hormones and not have to flex-tha-nutz.

Didn't he know that american muscle is all about going fast in a straight line?

It took him a long time, but at age 52 he finally received his long overdue Darwin Award.

Update from SFgate.com states in part:

The Corvette, trailing the Mercedes, lost control in a 90-degree turn and fishtailed into a mausoleum, dislodging several crypts. Police said mourners attending a funeral about 100 yards away witnessed the crash, but the cemetery director told The Chronicle it was not a funeral, but a group of people visiting a grave.

The police are still seeking the Mercedes driver for questioning.

Who knows what demographic stereotype the MB driver will shatter?

Unfortunately he may not get a Darwin for this. At 52 he has, unfortunately, almost certainly, already sowed his seeds.

The idea of the Darwin is to prevent that by whatever means catastrophic and permanent.

They also need fact checkers..

kompressor turbo motor...

And to the fruits and nuts comment.. Didn't you see the story on the Subie in Texas that took out a family in a Camry? Unfortunantly, I think idiocy is planet wide....
