Chief of Speed Sinners, Found Grace Today
Dear Fellow MINI Drivers,
I must repent, for today the lights, red
and blue
,
have shown on me
.
I have shared before my over all disdain
for the "Men-in-Blue", women get over it.
But today, driving north on 294 at 290 I found an IL State Cop so nice, he let me off when he had me dead-to-rights at 75 in a 55, with tinted front widows to boot. He gave me a warning.
Now the Funny
parts, the warning says I was going 60 in a 55 in my CHRYSLER Mini
Then made fun of my Cubs sticker.
With a "Drive Safe" and Smile
I was off to drive the speed limit
for a mile.

You only lasted a mile? lol
I remember when i got one, I pretty much went the rest of the way very carefully, but I guess that's because I actually got a ticket and didn't want my insurance to be effected by getting another one.
Anyways, I think there was a story on fox one time about the ratio of tickets given per stop. I forget the results, but some areas were a lot easier than others. If i remember correctly, the northern suburbs were pretty poor in letting people go.
This makes me wonder though, out of all the tickets you get and those where they let you go, how many times have Chicago cops let you go? I rarely see them stop people and everytime they stopped someone I know, they get off.

Dustin... that's hilarious

I wish I was so lucky
I've been pulled over by CPD, IL State Trooper and MtProspect PD over the last 10 years... no love at all.. no warning, just a lot of attitude
. Always a smart a$$ remark from the cop and a ticket.
